popee update
May. 17th, 2023 10:04 amSo, bad news, unfortunately. We've got a veeery very not great guy in the system. It's Pierro, he's a fictive from Genshin Impact, and he is REALLY transphobic (and homophobic but not as much as he is transphobic.) He's actively violent, specifically toward me. My only headmate who knows is Childe, other than that, only Scara and my daughter (not really but I see her that way) Lotus know. We're trying to figure out how to get him out, or how to get him to leave me the fuck alone, or something. But we can't tell many headmates because we don't want him to find out we're figuring out something against him. We especially can't tell Dottore; Dottore is the only one he trusts, and we can't risk the thoughtleak. Plus, if Dottore knew, he would kill Pierro as soon as possible. I don't know, this whole situation just fucking sucks. It'll be alright though.

My Victorian Medicinal Notes
May. 12th, 2023 02:27 pmI have a google doc full of notes on Victorian medicine, so today I'm going to be sharing one of my note entries. This is actually the first one I did, and it's about "Dr. William's Pink Pills for Pale People". If you have any interest in this, feel free to read it. And if not, why're you still reading?
Dr. William’s Pink Pills for Pale People
Victorian era (late) patent medicine pills created by the Dr Williams Medicine Company, later being purchased by the G.T. Fulford & Co. for $53.01 (about $5,401.40 in today's currency) When sold, it became very popular in China, as China had already adapted to the medicinal-style of taking pills. It became very popular worldwide, actually, and many parts of Europe spread tales of its “wonder” as far as Egypt.
Treatment:
These pills were seen as a cure-all. They claimed to cure clinical depression, epilepsy, nervousness, insomnia, chorea, locomotor ataxia, partial paralyxia, seistica, neuralgia rheumatism, nervous headache, the after-effects of la grippe, palpitation of the heart, pale and sallow complexions, [and] all forms of weakness in male or female. The only “evidence” (although it’s obviously false, but I’ll be putting that in its own category) to back up any of this in any way is from Reverend Enoch Hill of M.E. Church of Grand Junction in Iowa, who endorsed the product in several 1900s advertisements, claiming that it cured his chronic headaches, as well as energizing him. Other than this, I can’t find much on the legitimacy of these claims, but I don’t need to. Obviously most (if not all) of it is false.
Ingredients:
These pills were coated in pink sugar. In an analysis of the pills conducted in 1909, the BMA (British Medical Association) revealed that the pills contained sulphate of iron, potassium carbonate, magnesia, powdered liquorice, and sugar. Approximately one third of the iron sulphate in the pills had oxidised in the sampling analysed, leading to the statement that the pills had been "very carelessly prepared". The formula went through several changes, and at one stage included the laxative aloe, the major ingredient of Beecham's Pills. The Pills were finally withdrawn from the market in the 1970s.
-It's iron content actually made it helpful for treating Anemia, so at least it did something.

Dottore- An Introduction
May. 12th, 2023 01:59 pmSo, hello, Dreamwidth. If anyone actually looks at our profile, then you may recognize me, as my name has been mentioned quite a few times. I want to make this post to clarify some things.
First of all, yes, I know, I'm a very bad person. I've done many things that I regret. I'm making amends and such for what I've done, as much as I can. For this, I have many people to thank, such as Scara, as well as one of his headmates, and of course, my own headmates.
Second of all, I am getting better. Much better, in fact. When I came here, I almost immediately got into an argument with Scara. From that point on, the arguments continued every time I fronted. But, eventually, I apologized. i won't get into the details, but I started to feel an immense amount of guilt for my deeds. We've become almost friends now? And I've even gotten a very very lovely boyfriend, Baizhu, although he's in another system. Kind of funny that there's more than one genshin-fictive relationship. Anyway.
I am, unsurprisingly, HEAVILY autistic and my main hyperfixation (possibly my only one as of right now?) is Victorian medicine. I may post on here about it often, if I choose to do so.
Oh well. That's really all I wanted to say; I just didn't want anybody getting the impression that I'm still actively being a shitty person. I'm not, I'm trying very very hard to be better.

Clone Update
May. 9th, 2023 02:04 pmSo, we've mentioned the clones in the past, but since then, more have shown up. I figured I might as well give an update, just to keep things up to date. So yeah.
Mirak, looks like Webtoon Dottore or "Webttore", oldest clone in terms of being created since he was the very first one.
Kane, age 7, looks like.. I mean, I don't have a comparison, he just looks like a veeeeeery very tiny baby Dottore. Also, clone defect; hes missing his ring finger on one hand (unfortunately I forgot which one, I mean, its not very important)
Cyrus, age 7, looks almost the same as Kane. He has longer hair, though. He has a clone defect; his right leg is completely non-functional. (He gets lots of help getting around, and we're trying to find something to help him with walking on his own)
Fenix, age 6, looks pretty much the same as the other two but a teensy bit shorter. I think he's the newest clone? Maybe the second newest? I forgot if him or Hades came first.
Hades, age ?????, looks similar to Dottore's current appearance but maybe one or two inches shorter, and doesn't wear a mask. Almost completely non-verbal (other than noises and the occassional word or two, but never a full sentence) and has tics.
Delta, age ????, looks similar to Mirak but less bright. She/her, trans woman. She also has longer, duller hair.
Arlan, age ????, looks similar to Dottore but with shorter hair in the back. He also wears a mask but a different one? I dont know how to describe it. The one that I believe Dottore's source gave one of HIS segments? It's gray/black and has this orange-y star-shaped thing in the middle, and only covers his eyes. It isnt actually a mask as far as I know? I'm pretty sure he just.. Doesn't have anything under there?
Zandik, age ????, exact physical copy of Dottore when he was in the Akademiya. I'd like to note that Zandik is the snarkiest, funniest, sassiest man I've ever met and I love him for it. He's great (not to sound biased! All of the segments are great!)
Yaretzi, segment 3A, age ????, looks similar to Dottore's current appearance but almost scrawnier? and he has lighter hair. He also doesn't wear a mask.
Ixazeira, segment 3B, age ?????, looks almost identical to Yaretzi but with a few differences (hair color and length, slightly different voice, different body language most times) He also doesn't wear a mask.
Ooooookaaay I think that's all of them. So, yeah.

The Littles In Our System
May. 9th, 2023 10:23 amSo, we have three littles in our system; all three are Dottore's clones, and they're all 6-7 years old. These littles are:
Kane, segment 1A, age 7
Cyrus, segment 1B (I believe he's 1B?), age 7
Fenix, segment 1D, age 6
We had some events take place that I won't be discussing here, as it's personal, but long story short, Pantalone ended up taking in almost all of the clones (that reminds me, I need to make a post about them since there's more of them now.) And he's adopted Kane and Cyrus; Fenix has only been here for a few days, and is deciding if he wants to stay with Pantalone or not, but we believe he most likely will.
Anyway, Pantalone is a very good father to them! Last night he decided to clean out our closet and make it a safespace for his sons; he put up some lights, and put pillows, blankets, and stuffed animals around, and used one of our oil diffusers in there just to make it smell nice (and because it has this weirdly calming humming sound.) He also put a little basket in there with some books, toys, and our spare noise-cancelling headphones. The only problem is that it gets VERY hot in there, VERY quickly. But, good news! We talked to Max's mom, and today she's going to bring back this little plug-in fan from her desk since she doesn't use it anymore.
Last night, Kane fronted for some time, and ended up sleeping in the closet despite how hot it got in there. He actually had a very good night; one of our friends in another system (who I'll call X just for privacy) helped out and talked to Kane for the night, and ended up being very helpful! He isn't going to see this but thank you!!!
Kane also found a cute show he likes, it seems like it could be a really good show for children (whether it be a physical outer-world child, a little, or an age-regression situation) It's on Netflix and it's called City of Ghosts! Definitely a good way to keep kids entertained, and it also has a lot of Asian-American representation, as well as a character who openly uses They/Them and mentions it! It's also just a good way to teach kids a lot of stuff, especially about other cultures and things like that. Plus, it's just a cute show overall.
Overall, last night was a success! I think that's the first time Kane's come out for a full night in a while, so I'm glad everything went smoothly.

So, as previously stated, I am in a relationship with an alter from a different system (my sourcemate, Scara!<3) and I think it's important to know the basics of beginning a relationship of this kind (whether it be romantic, purely sexual, or beyond platonic in any way) since we almost had to sort it out ourselves, although we somewhat knew what we were doing. So here's a little guide on the basics when figuring out how to make it work!
1. BOUNDARIES! Discuss it with all headmates.
Firstly it's important to set your own boundaries between each other, of course, but what about the folks you share the body with? We discussed it with our headmates to figure out what's okay in terms of the body, and what isn't. This is even more important when the bodies are minors, in my opinion; to be blunt, it'd be kind of not exactly good to be fucking in the bodies of minors, if sex is something you're even open to, especially when the alters doing it aren't minors themselves. Just be open and make sure whatever you two want to do is okay and safe and everyone's comfortable with it.
2. Switching situations
Obviously, different people are gonna front at different times. My biggest advice is just don't get mad or upset about it when somebody other than your partner is fronting. If they say it's okay, maybe you can ask them to switch with your partner if neccesary, but remember, that doesn't always work. And if it's your headmates you've switched out with, make sure they remember to clarify that they're fronting, or don't pretend to be you (our system would know this from personal experience, once, a long time ago.) for any reason. Evidently, that could lead to a lot of issues.
3. Spreading the news
Obviously, you don't even have to tell anybody outside of your own systems. But if you do, figure out who's safe to tell. If you or your partner arent out to that person/those people as a system, it may be better to avoid it; for example, some of our (my systems) friends have somehow found out and asked "are you dating (his systems hosts name)??" With certain friends of ours that I'm comfortable telling, I've asked Scara if it's okay for me to explain it to them, and sometimes he'll say yes while other times he won't, and that's okay. It's all about what you and your partner are comfortable with.
Of course, there's much more that goes into separate-system-alter relationships, but these are the main three things that I think are most important when figuring out how to make it work, aside from the normal components of a relationship.
Hopefully somebody out there will find this useful or even just interesting, but who knows? I just wanted to come on here and share a little advice. :)

popee moment :3
Apr. 12th, 2023 01:12 pmI'm baaaaaaaaaaaaack from quite the extended hiatus! Ok well I've fronted, but not much. Kinda locked myself away, came back, isolated myself again, aand I'm slowly trying to re-enter the world! I obviously won't go into the details, but I've been in a very bad place (mentally) as of recent times, but luckily for me I'm starting to get better! It's been tough, and it's been scary, but I have my headmates to help me. Love you guyz!! <33 (like a family, of course)
Dottore is seen as an obvious threat to our system; and he was, he got here and did some horrible things. He hurt a lot of people. But, we're giving him a chance. He frantically apologized and seems genuine, and it's easier to tell that he actually means it because of thoughtleak. He's doing pretty well, too. No experiments, no operations, not even any threats. We aren't going to let our guard down, but for now I think we can trust him. Just a little bit.
It's kind of weird, though; he acts so much more human now that we're letting him exist without constantly being hated. He went from being all violent and moody and rude to.. This. He has interests now. He draws, he rambles to our friends about victorian medicine, he actually does normal things. It's a good change, don't get me wrong, but still odd. I didn't think he would be able to do it.
I don't know, maybe this is oversharing, but still. Yeah.

The Clone Problem
Apr. 6th, 2023 12:20 pmEztli is Dottore. I'm sick of hiding it, he's Dottore. If you know about Dottore, you know he created clones/segments of himself at different stages of his life. Well, of course, with him being him (ive already mentioned this though) he figured out how to do this in the headspace. It's weird. We don't consider them alters, they don't form the same way as alters, but they can front, be co-concious, etc. like any alter could. Let me give a rundown now that there's a couple more than there were last time I posted.
01- Mirak (not apart of a group. Best description i can give, idk his age, is webtoon dottore)
Very cool guy but (hopefully treatable) psychological damage, gets very very violent sometimes and has to be restrained.
Group 1 (age 7)
1A- Kane (cane) , missing one finger on right hand
1B- Silas (sye-las), nonverbal
1C- Cyrus (sye-ruhs) , right leg is entirely limp and unable to use. (dottore wants to figure out if prosthetics work in the headspace, because his leg doesnt seem to be fixable.)
Group 2 (specific age unknown? but it's his time in the Akademiya
2- Hasnt formed fully yet.
2A- Zandik (z-anne-dik) (chose dottores real name, yes) no 'defects'
2B- Extremely psychologically damaged, was in physical and mental anguish, and was a genuine physical threat. They decommissioned him :(
Group 3 (specific age unknown again? early to mid fatui age though)
3- Hasn't fully formed yet.
3A- Yaretzi (yar-et-zee) , no 'defects'
3B- Ixazeira (icks-uh-zair-uh), no 'defects' but the most similar to Dottore, which is worrying.
I don't really know how he did it. None of us do, he just did. And they're here, and they're sentient and it's so confusing, but we're working it out. It's just a bit overwhelming.

our system is getting weirder and weirder, i genuinely cant even make this shit up anymore
silly little Eztli made himself some clones, so we've got
Mirak (01)
Silas (1C)
Kane (1A)
Zandik (2A)
Yaretzi (3A)
all of this is in the headspace and i dont know how it works whatsoever so i dont know. im just as confused as anybody else probably is

Genshin Fictives
Mar. 28th, 2023 12:08 pmWe are GETTING OUT OF HAND. There's been so many of us. Collei, me, Tighnari, Cyno, Itto, Gorou, "Eztli," and now guess who. ZHONGLI. YEAH, THE GEO ARCHON. Plus, our very good friend who is also in a system has two genshin fictives (won't be disclosing any details just in case because, yk, privacy and all.)
The point is, there are TOO MANY OF US. i mean that lightheartedly, of course. I'm glad I have my sourcemates (not including Eztli, of course.) but I just find it kind of funny that there are so many of us with the same source.

System Reconstruction Era!
Mar. 27th, 2023 10:23 amhaha funny title because reconstruction era after the civil war and i think history is interesting
aaanyways good good good great news! Cyno (I don't remember if we ever even disclosed he was here but yeah, he was) has successfully come back from dormancy!! He's recovering quicker than Itto and Gorou have, Gorou spends all of his time hiding out with Itto just trying to get a grasp on everything, but Cyno is pretty much already back up on his feet! I mean no ill will toward Gorou for a slow recovery process, of course, I'm just stating it. Anyway! Cyno seems to be doing fairly alright, although he's very distraught by the fact that Tighnari is no longer with us. We're working on trying to get her back from dormancy but it takes time and lots of energy and there's a chance it unfortunately won't work. Hopefully, though, it will work! We miss you, Nari!!!
That's all, just thought I'd give a nice little update. So yay, Cyno!!! Welcome back buddy! :)

aaanyways good good good great news!

It's been batshit fucking bonkers
Mar. 24th, 2023 12:58 pmSo, things have been very chaotic and horrible and bad, but good news!!
So, in the headspace, we have 'bodies' of course. Not like the one we have in the outer world, but just a visualization of one, I guess. Popee somehow figured out a way to basically give herself gender reassignment surgery, minus the surgery part! WOOHOO!!! Congrats to her on the whole sex change! We don't really know how she did it, I don't think she's fully sure about the whole process either, but she did it and that's all that matters so yay!
I know Popee is probably going to see this eventually, but I'll say it anyway. I'm so proud of her; we all are. She's been through so much and has had to deal with so much of it on her own, or with very limited help, and she's come so far. She's such a sweet, smart, funny girl and deserves a safe, easy, and quick mental recovery from everything she's been put through. Obviously, I'm not going to post the details online, but she's really been through hell and back.
Congrats on the sex change, popee, and we're all so proud of you for still fighting through all of this!!

System Resets
Mar. 22nd, 2023 01:07 pmMany (if not most) people in the plural community would most likely agree that system resets are fake. We, however, disagree. From personal experience, too.
-Just for reference, a "system reset" is basically the term for when every alter in a system goes dormant or disappears. I would describe dormancy as a "coma" of sorts for an alter where they arent actively present in the system, but that's just my personal way of explaining it. You can phrase it however you'd like.
I'm just going to dive straight into this.I wasn't here when the first "reset" happened in December, but Popee, another alter, was. She somehow happened to crawl her way back out of dormancy, by some miracle. Our therapist says that "it could've been because her job in the system hadn't been completed," or in other terms, Max still needed her for whatever her job is/was. Well, funny story, another "reset" happened. This time, luckily Popee and Razor managed to somehow stay, but everybody else is unfortunately gone. Luckily, we did get Itto back, but he's very mentally damaged after experiencing dormancy. It fucked him up. Other than that, yeah, I stayed although I was probably meant to stay regardless, as the new alter the day before the reset happened. As of now, we've gained two new alters; Collei (as of yesterday, so welcome, Collei!!) a fictive of Collei from Genshin Impact, and another fictive who I refuse to disclose exactly who his source is. I'm going to be calling him Eztli on here, however that isn't his real name. He shares a source with Itto, Collei, and me and has severely hurt many many people, so we aren't going to talk about him. He is the fucking worst. Anyway!
Most people say that people who claim a "system reset" happens do so for manipulative reasons; but we have no reason to manipulate anybody, nor the intentions to do so. If I could give full proof of what happened, I would, but that isn't exactly possible since it's not like you can go into our brain and see if they're all still there. Not sure what proof I CAN give, I guess you just have to take our word for it, but yeah. It really fucking sucks, we had to lock ourselves in a bathroom to cry for a good few hours while on vacation because of it. Fun, right? (sarcasm, obviously.) I don't want this to become a vent post, so I won't let it. If it seems like I don't care about this situation, I do, I really really do, but for some reason my mind decided I should be the one who copes by pretending things aren't as bad as they really are. Plus, again, I don't want this to end up being a vent post, so yeah.
Sorry, this post got painfully off-track. As per usual with most of our posts. I don't know, we'll figure things out.

The portrayal of plurality
Mar. 6th, 2023 12:32 pmThis'll be my first post but whatever, wasnt expecting my first post to be a plurality essay but it's what I feel like writing.
I'll say what many have said before; plurals, especially those with DID, don't get very good portrayal in the media. Take movies such as Split, for example. It shows systems as dangerous. Evil. Once in a class of ours last year, we had to watch the beginners theatre classes collection of humorous scenes. A section of one stuck out to us; a man was going on a date, and when the girl arrived, she warned him that she hadn't taken her pills. She then, throughout the awkward 5 minutes that carried out for this, proceeded to 'switch between personalities' with all of them being wild things, such as, at one point, a gorilla. We didn't say anything of course, as a closeted system who would rather not have an entire class know, but it did hurt a bit. I wasn't here for this, but I discussed it with Max and Popee, who both were there for it.
There's quite a few movies centered around DID, one that comes to mind immediately is Perfect Blue, the 1997 Satoshi Kon anime film. It's based on a book, Perfect Blue: Complete Metamorphosis, by Yoshikazu Takeuchi. Spoilers ahead for Perfect Blue, of course. Anyway, DID is not the main theme of this movie, and doesn't really come up until around the end, but it is still a pretty large plotpoint. It's revealed at the end that one of the main antagonists, Rumi, has DID and her one alter is meant to be the main character, Mima. This alter believes she is the real Mima, and sees Mima as an impostor who must be killed. In the finale of the movie, she chases Mima, attempting to kill her, before being stabbed by Mima and nearly being run over. After this, there is a time skip to Mima visiting Rumi in a mental institution. A background character during this scene says "she does return to her Rumi personality sometimes."
Now, it was 1997, so I'm not too suprised by the fact that DID is misrepresented here. However, it still hurts to see so much media insisting that alters are evil. We are not evil, we do not want to hurt you, kill you, kidnap you, etc. We are just normal people trying to live. I won't deny the existence of persecutors, or 'harmful' alters, because they can exist. Yes, they can sometimes have intentions of harming people. But that is not all of them, and that is certainly not all alters.
I'm not really sure what direction this post was going in. It was kind of just a random idea I had, to be honest. But I think you get the point. Alters get a bad wrap in the media. It's unfair. I'd do anything for some good representation of a DID system. Of any plurality at all. I'd kill for that- or, at least, that's what Hollywood believes.
